The air conditioning was ineffective!!! A shelf for toiletries in the shower would be very helpful!!! The window facing the shaft was unpleasant and didn't allow natural light!!!

Nothing good to remark.
Frankly, I got so disappointed from the very second I entered to the room. I think I made a mistake on choosing this hotel. First floor rooms are noisy due to this hotel is located right beside to a street frequented of prostitutes, and getting to the hotel by night makes it unsafe.

I loved the whimsical Gaudi-inspired decor🎨! Plus, the location is super convenient, close to the metro and Las Ramblas. A bummer was the lack of nightstands next to the bed.

Me and my family were very satisfied with hotel staff. They were very friendly & helpful. Rooms were clean, comfortable and great value for money. The location of the Barbara hotel is fantastic, close to La Rambla and other city center sites.
Hotel neighborhood is a little bit noisy, but you are in the midlle of old city center.

The location is excellent - five minutes from the Ramblas. The staff were very helpful. The room and bathroom were basic but clean. It was very good value for money.
The area in which the hotel is situated is not particularly pleasant - there were a number of prostutites in the adjacent road (although no-one troubled us, i did not feel I could have come back late with my female travelling companion and have been safe). It was very very noisy at night, with large groups of people in the area outside the hotel.

There were two very nice young ladies who made the front desk look good. They were professional and very helpful. The rest of the staff was hit or miss. Location was near Las Ramblas Cleaned rooms and towels each day. Safe in the room
the window did not close in the room so when someone was smoking, it came into the bedroom (i am a person with allergies). The bathroom looked clean but smelled like urine (i always carry disinfect wipes and cleaned) I don't think they clean out the mop thus the smell The AC worked first night but did not the second. I asked the front desk staff and their remark was that is the way it is, not very responsive. I asked the next day with different staff and they were on the problem, fixing it. So staff was a hit or miss. There were two very nice young ladies who made the front desk look good. The location was near Las Ramblas (two blocks on a side street) but it was full of prostitues at all hours of the day (more at night). I have an elderly parent and young child who did not need to see this type of activity. We tried not to go out at night it seemed very seedy. They did not bother us but the atmosphere did not lend itself to being safe. For families I would not recommend this hotel. this was not a hotel. I have been traveling for business and leisure and this not a hotel. Had tv but you had to leave a 20 euro deposit to get the remote. It had wi-fi but it was not free. These hotels need to stop nickle and diming people to death. Wi-Fi is a service that is free at every hotel that I have travel except in hotels here in Europe.

The staff were friendly and eager to assist, making my stay much more enjoyable.
The air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool, quite uncomfortable during the warm nights.

Hotel fine and in a nice location. Prostitues on every corner - these did not bother us and the rest of the area was nice. Rooms small but very nice. Comfy warm beds and very good shower.
No tea and coffee in room.

My stay at hotel Barbara was excellent. As opposed to many negative reviews I fond the hotel comfortable and enjoyable. It is in the city center with 3 metro stations at walking distance. The staff was cooperative and greatest of all , they could speak English.
Might not be very feasible for families due to the environment of streets around.
